Badwater Basin, Death Valley National Park, CA
Badwater Basin, CA

With an elevation of 240 feet below sea level, Badwater basin is the lowest spot in the United States. It's also usually the hottest and driest, but things have been a little weird over the past year. Not much Death going on in Death Valley this year.

Our Escape the East Photo Gallery will have more photos like this from the other side of the continent.
